Ingredients:
- Salt - (1/2) Tea Spoons
- Sugar - (1/2) Tea Spoons
- Cilanthro, Coriander - 1 Tea Spoons
- Red Chilli Powder - (1/4) Tea Spoons
- Turmeric Powder - (1/4) Tea Spoons
- Corriander Seeds Powder - (1/4) Tea Spoons
- Cumin Seeds Powder - (1/4) Tea Spoons
- Garam Masala - (1/4) Tea Spoons
- Peanut Oil - 2 Table Spoons
- Dried Grated Coconut - 1 Table Spoons
- Sesame Seeds - (1/2) Tea Spoons
- Asafoetida (Hing) - (1/4) Tea Spoons
- Mustard Seeds - (1/4) Tea Spoons
- Okra (Bhindi) - (1/2) Kilo Grams
Preperation Steps:
- None
Main Steps:
- Clean okra with a slightly damp towel without using water. Cut ends and slice vertically.
- Cut onions vertically into thin slices.
- Heat oil and add mustard seeds. Add Asafoetida and turmeric.
- Add the onions and saute till soft.
- Add the okra and mix well. Cook till they become soft without covering the pot. Do not add water.
- Add all other spices and ingredients and mix well. Cook for some more time till the okra is completely cooked.
- Serve hot.
