Ingredients:
2 cup moong daal
2 red chillies
4 curry leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
a pinch od sugar
2 tsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
Preperation Steps:
Wash and soak moong daal in water. Drain all the water and keep it aside for half an hour.
Main Steps:
Heat oil and add mustard seeds. Ones they crackle, add cumin seeds, turmetic and asafoetida(hing).
Add garlic, chillies and the curry leaves. Saute for a minute.
Add moong daal, mix well and cover for five minutes.
Add a little water and the rest of the ingredients. Mix well. And cover again.
Ones the daal is fully cooked, serve.
